Babelicious is a good lube, much like the Babelube. It’s a clearish color with a gel-ish texture. It’s smooth and I’ve heard other people describe it as more oily than watery. I like that more oily than watery texture myself because it’s so nice and slick. I have a huge box of lubes to use in the studio and the Babelube is one of the top two favorites with models. I haven’t offered up the Babelicious flavored lube yet. I probably will because it’s nice to share. As far as the flavor goes, it still tastes like lube, just a bit more minty. I didn’t really taste any of the mojito flavor. Mint isn’t bad, and as long as you don’t get a glob of it shoved down your throat I’m sure you’ll find it more pleasant than non-flavored lube.

I’m never too sure how to best support for transfriends when it comes to sex acts and sexuality. Lube Reviews: Moist
I’m one of those freaks that will grab pocketfuls of free stuff. Only stuff I’ll actually use though, I don’t like wasting things. I’m just crazy enough to grab a load of free condoms, dams and lube to use here at the studio. My dark secret revealed! One day I grabbed a pocketful of Moist lube. I had never heard of Moist lube, so when I got home I did a bit of research.
Moist is a water based lube that also comes in gel, glycerine-free and silicone forms. It’s a no-frills sort of lube, and isn’t very expensive. I tried it out with the Hitachi Wand. It is indeed very moist, but it’s also kind of drippy. I ended up with a puddle. Hopefully it won’t stain my sheets. I ended up with the glycerine version, and it didn’t sting as much as I remember glycerine lube stinging. It did have that sweet flavor, but it also still tasted like chemicals. I would not recommend using this one for oral sex.
The lube didn’t seem to last very long where the action was. I was wet all over my ass, but no so much on my clit. It ended up being sort of gooey and tacky on my skin. It didn’t wipe off easily or absorb into my skin. It felt like a mess after I was done.
It’s not a bad lube. It’s still better than Astroglide.
Babelube vs. Liquid Silk
I keep Babelube and Liquid Silk in the cyber-dyke studio’s safe sex supplies box and offer both types to models. I also dip into the box sometimes for personal use, but don’t tell the boss lady. I like both lubes and I use both depending on which one jumps into my hands.
Babelube is your basic no frills plain all purpose lube. It’s water-based and glycerin-free. Several of us have used it for anal sex in addition to pussy play, and it works well for both. It works well for masturbation and I’ve used it on my play partners. It does leave a bit of the usual lube stickiness, but most lubes do. It’s not the wettest lube I’ve used, so if you like it extra slick this might not be your first choice. It is long lasting and very affordable. It’s a clear color, gel texture, unscented and tastes like lube. I wouldn’t recommend tasting it. It’s really affordable and much better than other lubes in the price range. The largest size bottle comes with a pump for easier access.
Liquid Silk has a long history in our studio. I can’t remember who first brought it over. It might have been Zille or Ondine. I can’t remember all the details, but the two of them were doing a scene together and one squirted a glob of the lube into the other’s hands. This lube is white and about the same consistency as natural body fluids, so the receiver was a bit shocked to have a handful of white body fluids squirted all over, if you know what I mean. This is a very good lube, creamy and white with no scent of flavor. It is water based, glycerin-free and it cleans up really well. It keeps things really wet. It’s also antibacterial so you don’t have to worry about accidentally sharing germs with your partners. It does come in a pump bottle, so it’s easier to stay safe and clean. This lube works for toys, and anal sex in addition to all your favorite types of pussy play. It tastes bitter so you probably won’t want to use it for oral sex.

Once again you’re getting the, “lube is a fabulous holiday gift” talk. I covered this last January and December 2006. I just received an email from my favorite lube company, Mantis Herbs, about their Yoni Butter, and they’re doing free holiday gift wrapping on all 2oz. and 4oz. size bottles. The wrapping paper in the picture is leopard print, and I’m such a sucker for leopard print that I’ll be ordering a gift for myself. I HIGHLY recommend Yoni Butter. One 2oz bottle lasts forever, so don’t let the price get you down. Yoni Butter is not vegan, but it is all natural, organic and herbal that also can be used to soothe all your skin irritations. It works well for anal and shouldn’t cause problems with latex barriers. It smells nice too. You do need to be careful dipping the Yoni Butter out with your fingers. I recommend that you just use a clean spoon or something so that you don’t contaminate the whole bottle with something like a yeast infection. Trust me on that one.

Lube! Lube! Lube!
I am a bit of a preacher when it comes to the joys and benefits of lube, even for solo masturbation. So many people overlook the need for lube, totally forget in the heat of the moment, or go with the Jenna Jameson method of using spit. The spit method really gets to me because not only it is entirely not sexy to hear someone hocking a loogie, but I certainly don’t want random crap from the bottom of your lungs on me and it isn’t very effective lube anyway.

Nothing will give you or your lady a yeast infection quite like putting sugar up her cunt!

My Piercings and the Wahl
I did have a real video update of me and the Wahl with Yoni Butter lube for today, but when I went to edit the video there was no sound. I’m really sad because the video and experience of making the video was otherwise fabulous!
When I use the Wahl I find that the piercing in my clit hood seems to get caught and pulls a bit. It all worked well for me, but your mileage may vary. As always, be aware of the risks and always practice safe sex.
Not sure about that “natural” stuff? Try a Lube Sampler. Everyone has different preferences and different bodies, so your needs might be different from mine. Water based lubes are really comfortable, safe to use with latex barriers, and easy to wash. Silicone lubes are also comfortable and safe, but more difficult to wash up. Some people, myself included, find that lubes containing glycerin will sting, so make sure to ask when you have your pre-sex talk about safety. If you tend to be spontaneous with new lovers make sure to have glycerin-free lube on hand with your safe sex supplies just in case.
