My only complaint about this item isn’t even really about the item. It was about getting it. Ordered back in early April, it only just arrived. I understand that things come up, but I had to ask for my money back before the darn things showed up. (I ordered two.)

But I was ecstatic when I opened the box they were shipped in*. The toys are absolutely gorgeous and well-made. The wood of the handles is polished to a brilliant shine and the leather is exquisitely cut as well as supple. Just holding them makes you want to cry for the beauteous workmanship that almost seems to belong to some bygone era.

And they do. Each flogger is made to fit a tracing of your hand and it really makes a difference. I’m okay with a flogger, but these fit my hand so well that my movements feel–and look–more graceful. I would expect this from some wildly expensive custom, but Bud’s floggers are priced comparably to other companies’ non-custom floggers.

So if you’re willing to wait, you really should check out Bud’s site and consider getting a flogger. His work is guaranteed on top of being gorgeous and you can mix and match woods and leathers to get that flogger that’s just right for you. In case you were wondering, I got a heavy flogger of burgundy bull hide with a dark, coca bola handle (business) as well as a lighter one of pink goat skin with a pretty, maple handle (pleasure).

*The name of the company and logo were on the box. If you’re super paranoid about discreet shipping, you may want to discuss this with them when ordering.
