The Beehive is a pretty vibrator that comes in a cute, girly box and seems to be very female-centric. It’s a good enough toy, but I would like it better if I hadn’t used the Rabbit. It’s more or less the same thing: a soft toy with separate vibe and swivel-head functions and a number of interesting, enticing bumps and grooves. I, however, am a clit girl and the Beehive lacks the Rabbit’s extra clitoral vibrator. Some vaginal vibes work okay for external stimulation, but this toy just doesn’t work well on the clitoris–all the shake is in the body, none in the head.

Unlike the Rabbit, the Beehive it doesn’t have fixed settings and allows for gradual increase in vibration or swivel speed. Instead of just jumping to the next setting or having to run through all possible settings just to get back to the low setting, one can work one’s lover to ecstasy smoothly or tease her without interruption. I also have to admit that the beehive shape of the toy’s head beats the Rabbit’s more glans-like tip. But is all that worth trading for a clitoral vibe? I think not.

If we lived in a world without the Rabbit, I would probably like the Beehive more: it’s just the right size for a pleasant stretch without being too big and it does feel nice. In the end, you just have to ask yourself, why have hamburger when you could have steak?
